We specialize in sterilization and the manufacture of disposable, sterile and non-sterile single-use medical equipment. Our products and services are aimed at the healthcare system.

 

Our mission is to support you in your project and in your needs, in order to provide you with tailor-made medical products that will exceed your expectations. Our team is able to provide you with the training and resources you need to support you as much as possible in your process.

Our associations

We are part of the Ethylene Oxide Sterilization Association (EOSA) , which is a non-profit organization whose members are medical device manufacturers, sterilization consultants, laboratories, contract sterilizers and equipment manufacturers. with a common interest in promoting the use of ethylene oxide.

 

We are also part of the Association of Suppliers of the Quebec Health Industry (AFISQ) , which is an organization whose members first have in common the fact that they deal with the Quebec healthcare network. . They can manufacture or distribute products and services such as medical equipment, health care products, medical informatics, household cleaning products, office equipment, etc.

2012

Founded in June 2012, PAMA Manufacturing already sees a great future ahead of it. Created to meet a need and a social responsibility, the company made it possible to supply, from the first year, the equipment necessary for several surgical procedures in Quebec.

2013

In 2013, Pama bet on solidifying its corporate structure and its practices.

Now it has set up an efficient Good Practice Manufacturing (GMP) structure and a personalized training system for its activities.

During this year, the company invested in the training of its team, which enabled it to establish an efficient quality management system that meets the requirements of the industry.

2014

The year 2014 is the start of many great changes for the company.
To date, his vision is evolving and the whole team is uniting to achieve its new goals. The company would exceed industry standards and become THE benchmark!

PAMA was now looking for a new location for its factory that would be able to respond to its many projects, including the installation of a sterilization system.

From today, the company will define itself as a green company. It will make all the changes necessary to make this ecological shift.

2016

In March 2016, the arrival of two new partners will allow the realization and execution of the company's projects. During this year, Mr. Luc Clouâtre, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Sylvain Robitaille, main investor, will inject more than $ 13 million into the company.

In April 2016, construction of the new building will begin in Mirabel and in September of the same year, the Pama team will move into its new building, in which the first sterilization system will soon be installed.

2017

During this year, PAMA will install its specialized sterilizer for the medical field and an ethylene oxide absorber-neutralizer (scrubber). The latter is a key element in the ecological shift of the company.

these are showers that capture gases, clean them and produce ethylene glycol which releases 99.95% pure air into the atmosphere. It is purer than outside air!

2019

In addition to being a year of research and development, the year 2019 is marked by the start of business automation.

Now that PAMA has created, with its Quebec engineering team, an automated platform called HMI (Human Machine Software). The HMI allows parametric operation of the sterilization system with ease of use for the operator.

On the other hand, the company has developed a sterilization system which allows to reduce the sterilization time and an immediate release of the products, compared to 8 days of waiting for the usual procedures. In addition, this new procedure reduces the exposure time of ETO and reduces the amount used by 50%. This process is much less polluting and PAMA is proud to be the only one business to operate this way in Canada.

PAMA has also developed its own trays which are 100% recyclable if they are not soiled. These trays make a big difference in ecology, since millions of trays are thrown in the trash every year.

Finally, PAMA now offers these products. This is possible with the collaboration of international manufacturers

2020

The sterilization system will officially start in 2020 and the company will obtain a first contract for 5 million swabs with the authorities of the Public Health Agency of Canada.

PAMA plans to expand the plant by 60,000 square feet later this year. In this expansion, the company will have a warehouse with a pandemic reserve and will have the equipment necessary to ensure the production of gowns, surgical masks, N-95 masks, swabs, etc.

In this year when coronavirus disease (COVID-19) concerns us all, the company became aware of how to manufacture medical equipment from here and for us.

Next destination

PAMA is still in full development and there is no shortage of projects!

The team continues to work on automating the company and looking for more solutions to promote its green aspect.

For the future, the company plans to deploy its operations to the international market.

Reducing our environmental footprint

In 2014, we officially made an ecological shift. Each year, we develop and apply solutions that allow us to favorably reduce our ecological footprint.

So far, we have implemented:

  • A building with energy recovery and constructed with sustainable materials.

  • A 99.95% efficient ethylene oxide absorption system, rather than a catalytic burner that uses hydrocarbon combustion.

  • 100% recyclable medical trays.
